What our guests had to say
EXCELLENT Based on 13 reviews Posted on Ray AndrewsJune 14, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It’s hard to know where to start, but since I’ve been home, I usually tell friends that, in terms of what we booked this trip for, what we went to South Africa to see and do, the trip surpassed all of our - I suppose here I should say “my” - expectations. The safaris were outstanding. The variety of species and the numbers of each animal that we saw were breathtaking. The proximity to them that we were able to experience (with appropriate caveats about staying in the jeep, not standing up, etc.) was hard to believe at first, and continued to impress throughout the duration. I also enjoyed the time in Johannesburg and especially Cape Town, also in Hazyview and Victoria Falls. The one thing that I didn’t appreciate is having to wait for everyone to have drinks before dinner every night (let me repeat that; EVERY NIGHT). I realize that it may be a cultural thing, and that this may well have been viewed differently by other guests, but it almost always ran late, ie “drinks at 6:30, dinner at 7” inevitably meant dinner at 7:30, quarter to eight. Now the dinners were wonderful, but with 18 guests, we were often still eating at 8:30, sometimes finishing as late as 9:00, which would have been fine if we weren’t getting up at 5:30 most mornings. I understand that the days were full and that early dinners were not practical, but a drink while seated at the dining table at 6:30 would have been a much better fit for us, and for at least a few of the others that I’m aware of.Posted on John MeadeJune 13, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a trip that went far beyond our already-high expectations! The animals, the food, the camaraderie, and the new friendships will never be forgotten. Ronnie & Dee Pitcher are the perfect hosts and guides. Everything was "first class", and worth every penny!Posted on Maureen SelbyJune 13, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was the trip of a lifetime! The itinerary was made so that we had as much experiences as possible. The people that we interacted with were so wonderful! Thank you so much to Ron and Dee for such a well rounded and all inclusive experience!Posted on Diana MusgreaveJune 12, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After throughly researching many safari tours and reviewing their own past client reviews, we decided on Hosted Africa with Dee and Ronnie. If you are looking for exceptional safari experiences and SO much more this is the tour. If you are looking for top quality for your travel dollar this is the tour. If you are looking for highly experienced professional, friendly tour organizers with a wonderful sense of humour (we laughed and laughed) this is the tour. We had several must haves. Johannesburg, Capetown, Victoria Falls, wine tasting and of course SAFARIS. We experienced all of these and SO much more! Victoria Falls was spectacular. I recommend seeing it both by foot and by helicopter. Wine tasting was fabulous, from whites to reds, the pinotage was our favourite. We also had the opportunity to try traditional African food, loved it. This tour has become our #1 travel tour. Our trip to the Galapagos is now #2 and that says a lot. I can’t stress how absolutely unforgettable this tour experience was. We are looking forward to traveling on future tours with Dee and Ronnie. My last advise, SIGN UP! This is truly a trip of a lifetime.Posted on Jay GreenbergJune 11, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The animals were awesome! The one thing that stands out to me was the hospitality. We have been on multiple trips but what stands out was the genuine kindness and hospitality of everyone at the lodges, hotels, servers, etc. This made the trip so much more fun. The food was excellent, and the value of what we got for the entire trip was awesome.Posted on Susan MJune 10, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This bucket list trip did not disappoint. It was one of the best trips I have ever taken. We loved every minute of it...from the animal experiences, the accommodations, the food and our wonderful hosts! Everything was planned perfectly. Dee and Ronnie really know South Africa and it makes such a difference having hosts that can plan the very best experiences for you along the way. It is a trip that will be in my memories for many years to come!Posted on Randi LeachJune 2, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I travel the world but my Africa trip is definitely my favorite! Ronnie and Dee were fabulous guides with so much experience and lots of fun. In addition to the fabulous safaris, we saw Victoria Falls, Capetown where we got to pet a baby cheetah and ride a funicular to the top of Table Mountain, Blyde River Canyon and Graskop Gorge. The sunrise and sunset safari game drives were spectacular and seeing so many animals up close in their natural habitat is an experience I will never forget….truly a once in a lifetime African adventure!Posted on Jan FontaineJune 2, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This truly was the trip of a lifetime. There were so many wow moments from start to end. Every aspect of the trip was meticulously planned and carried out by our wonderful Hosted Africa guides; we simply went along on the magical ride. Food and accommodations were excellent and the wildlife experience was breathtaking. 10/10. It just couldn’t have been any better.Posted on Maureen BestJune 2, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent tour of South Africa with lots of variety. All hotels, lodges, tours and experience were high end and the hosts( Antony & Ashley) were exceptional!Posted on Daniela Pet-ComJune 1, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a great tour, perfectly balanced itinerary with safari days alternating with city tours, wineries, etc. All camps, hotels have been exceptional, local guides very knowledgeable, our guides did a great job to have everything running smooth, on time, and so that everybody is taken care off. A personal opinion, all inclusive drinks was a little to an extremeVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
