We just returned from the trip of a lifetime in Southern Africa! Our hosts, Ronnie and Dee, had everything well planned and executed that plan to perfection. From the moment they greeted us at the airport until we parted company, we wanted for nothing. The locations selected for lodging and dining really enhanced the African experience for us. I can’t imagine anything better.
Our group of eight couples was really great! We all enjoyed each other’s company and traveled well together.
Southern Africa has amazing variety. It’s not just the animals, but also the landscapes, and the people are just fantastic. We were treated like family at every destination.
Did we see animals? Absolutely! Not only did we see the “Big 5” (lions, hippos, elephants, cape buffalo, and leopards), but also hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, mongoose, snakes, crocodiles, and an amazing variety of birds. Our encounters were up close, but at no time did we feel in danger. The guides were very professional and knew their business.
Our visits to Victoria Falls and Cape Town really rounded out the trip. The landscapes in those areas are just breath taking. Visiting the Winelands area and the native village were icing on the cake.
We felt that we really had experienced all of the best destinations in Southern Africa. If you are considering visiting Africa, and want to do more than to go on safaris, this is the trip for you.
